Family owned since 1976, our company was founded by Leonard Johanns. Leonard was instrumental in expanding farm drainage in North Iowa and Southern Minnesota. In 1978, he expanded the business by adding a drainage plow to the fleet with the increasing popularity of plastic drainage tile. In the early 1990s, he fell ill, and his son Terry began operating what is now Johanns Tiling Inc. With many investments in equipment and technology, such as larger self-contained Drainage plow and the implementation of GPS for mapping and grade control, Johanns Tiling Inc. has grown to be instrumental to the success of North Iowa and southern Minnesota farmers for more than 40 years.
