Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity partners with the community to provide new housing opportunities and existing home repair in partnership with local low-income families. Volunteers take great satisfaction in working alongside these partner families and develop long and lasting friendships with family members and each other. While volunteer labor is always free, partner families shoulder the cost of materials and services used on their homes through a no-interest loan from Habitat.
