Richie Whitten is a former Social Security staff attorney, having over 18 years experience working with hundreds of Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cases, having tried cases in over seven states. Born in Florence, Alabama on January 31, 1960, Richie graduated from Central High School in 1978. Following a year at the University of North Alabama, he completed his undergraduate education at Birmingham-Southern College, receiving a BA in 1982. In June 2011 The Law Offices of Richie A. Whitten were merged into the Personal Injury Firm of McCutcheon & Hamner, P.C., Richie joining the firm as "of counsel". Richie is a member of the Lauderdale County Bar Association, Alabama State Bar, American Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives.
