Hometown Butcher is the one and only butcher we will purchase , have processed, and packaged our meat from. So far purchased 2 angus beef, and a hog (pig) in the last few years. Karla is so helpful and knowledgeable in helping with the different cuts and what is the best way to use. Packaging is vacuum packed, cut to the specifications we asked for. Clearly labeled, dated, from cut of meat, weight, date of packing. The ground beef is so good, minimal shrinkage, has just the right amount fat. The price is right, a lot cheaper then buying at the grocery, you actually get meat you can taste . Now if they would only sell chicken we would be set. Yes a sizable upfront cost depending on what you buy, you can find someone to split a cow or hog, if not ask them if they have anyone looking, BUT cheaper than any grocery, look at the gas money saved from not visiting grocery as often, waiting to see if it’s going on sale, it stays fresh, no freezer burn, no off color. I highly doubt you’ll find anyone more honest, and reliable. It’s worth the drive.
